It can be hard for some students to commit to a traditional, on-campus education — money and time are always big considerations. This is especially true if you are a non-traditional student. You might have to juggle schoolwork with your job, family and other responsibilities. Thousands of students have found that taking courses online is a much better option. The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) offers three online Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration programs that are not only convenient, but also affordable.
Why Consider Online Education?
There are several advantages to online degree programs. Most of them are specifically designed for working adults who need to study on their own schedule and at their own pace. Students in online programs even have 24/7 access to coursework.
Online students need not worry about commuting to and from campus, which is not only a significant time saver, but a money saver as well.
Online courses have advanced a great deal in recent years, offering compelling, multimedia content and chat features that allow greater communication with faculty members and other students.
YourPace
UMPI offers the YourPace program, which is a unique twist on online learning. The YourPace system allows you to earn credits based on knowledge and progress, not time. YourPace helps students obtain a bachelor’s degree quickly. Instead of forcing students to waste a full semester on content they already know, YourPace allows them to move on to the next class as soon as they’ve mastered the content.
Students can take YourPace classes for a flat-rate tuition of $1,400 per session. The faster they advance, the more money they save. A student could obtain a degree for as little as $10,000 or less and finish in as few as 12 months.
